Mother, Latina, first South American immigrant elected to Congress.
The Iran war is now on Day 37. POTUS is asking for more money from tax payers but wants to cut child care, Medicaid & Medicare. It’s about priorities: one day of war spending could fully fund childcare & bolster Medicare for our citizens. We need to invest in people, not conflict. 📺👇 @Univision @VIX

The #Halftime #badbunny show was the epitome of Latino culture, an intimate party with family, love, country and dance. I felt at home. We were all at home with Bad Bunny tonight and that’s what made his performance brilliant.

According to @GrageDustin @X is the best networking tool. I’ve said it for a long time: users shouldn’t abandon a platform because of the increased polarization. If you want to be a part of the conversation, this platform should be part of your social media plan.

I am an Ecuadorian American, a former member of Congress, and the first South American–born person elected. As a mother, and as someone who understands what it means for families to come here looking for safety, this issue is deeply personal to me.

In Congress I learned that in this polarized environment you don’t win or lose your race because of a vote. The attacks in contested races are strategically coordinated regardless of any one vote. So, my advice is, win or lose, vote your conscience & hold the Republic together.

If you haven’t done so, register now! Next Tuesday at noon, we’re hosting along with Global Americans a serious conversation on what comes next for Venezuela after Maduro. We’re cutting through the noise to focus on what’s really going on: Will there be a democratic transition?

I come from the region. I’ve been to Venezuela several times. I know Venezuelans personally, family and friends who have lived through this crisis. That’s why it’s striking to see how quickly people who long ignored the human catastrophe now speak as experts.

There is so much to talk about these 2025 elections. But there is one area I’m watching that the media has hardly covered this cycle: the Latino vote.

If we want young people engaged in politics and inspired to lead, we need more young voices—everywhere. In newsrooms, on podcasts, at major events. Their perspectives are sorely needed. I’m tired of the same old people saying the same old things. ¡Ya no más!

Extremely dangerous to threaten to arrest duly elected legislators for standing up against a direct attack on the people’s voting rights though a politically biased map. And they do it Bc they know their extreme agenda is losing support and they want to maintain control at all costs. @Univision VIX

What does Marco Rubio have to say about this blatant power grab from his buddy Bukele? We’ve seen the effects of pervasive corruption & abuse of power by authoritarian leaders on both the left and the right. Subverting democratic institutions must be condemned. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/a...

The White House is lying about the timeline before the flash floods in Texas. Trying to cover up their incompetence is immoral & dangerous. It’s not the first time they show complete disregard for loss of life: J6, school shootings, COVID, they lie for self-gain. UnChristian. UnAmerican. NO MAS!

The NYC Mayor’s primary race has shown that our nation is extremely diverse. What works in NYC doesn’t work in Boca Raton. That’s why we must elect people willing to reach across the aisle & compromise. Congress has 435 members from districts in Alabama to the Bronx. Remember that when you vote!
