Adding if you've ever been in any kind of abusive relationship, you know... Appeasement NEVER works. It emboldens and empowers that person to continue to make more demands. It will never be enough to satisfy and you'll still be the bad guy in the end when you finally have enough & stop giving in.
I keep saying this: if you grew up under an abuser, you know exactly what this is and that no appeasement is possible.
