My MIL passed away yesterday. She's been dying of kidney failure for the past two weeks and hiding it from her son, daughter, and grandkids. Refusing to go to the hospital until her husband called 911 yesterday morning. She's texted with family, giving only the info that she wasn't feeling well.

This is part of my family--my late brother's wife, my niece, her husband and their kids. They are dear to me, and I want a better country for all of us. I have immense privilege, and I'm scared for the future, but the only way out is through so I try to do my part to make positive change.
