What’s all this, then?
Found a handy coaster today showcasing the well-documented three physical states of whiskey. 🥃 🧬

This is a fun one. A whiskey coffee table book that I always have firmly places on my coffee table. (Guests appreciate the scratch and sniff component!)

"The Essential Scratch & Sniff Guide To Becoming A Whiskey Know-It-All" By Richard Betts. Around $23 online and in stores.

Saying that I get excited over stupidest small things is a fairly accurate assessment of my character, but I'll never hide my love for Kentucky's official soda.

Bottle selfie from HQ where they have been rocking regional goodness out of Winchester for 100 years & counting. Cheers to a late one!

These two photos nicely sum up the never-ending insanity and often ill-placed hype surrounding the Pappy Van Winkle Brand:

I spotted this completely empty bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year for sale at $60 at local Louisville flea market.

Sixty bucks. And not a single drop of whiskey inside...

So many Bourbons.

So little Time.

One unique spot in Kentucky Bourbon? Warehouse V located towards the back of the distillery at @BuffaloTrace.

It is the smallest bonded aging warehouse on earth...home to just one single barrel inside!

Primarily used to showcase milestone barrels, The current tenant is the 9-millionth (!) barrel

Just in time for Bourbon and Beyond, I've finally come up with a name for my new Bourbon Themed Thrash Metal Band:

Yellow Dent #2 Corn. 🤘🎸🎶

Spotted this guy last year at Bourbon & Beyond. Excited to make some new friends this year...

Excellent day! My new Whiskey Tasting notebooks arrived.

And they meet my high bar of expectations. (AKA they kick ass. 👍🥃)

I've learned one irritating downside of running your own business is that you become incredibly picky about how the little things turn out. But these are spectacular....

During a recent “Scotch vs Bourbon” tasting event, THIS high-peat offering from Bruichladdich’s Port Charlotte was easily the most divisive pour I’ve offered in a long time.

Half the room absolutely loved it….half the room truly despised it. Makes for a fun night! 👍

I ALWAYS follow the advice of the sage Magic 8 Ball very, very closely. 🔮

My inspired idea for the day. You guys get this one for free:

All rental car companies should keep bins of rubber duckies on hand behind counter. Then. when customers rent Jeeps, they get several complementary for the duration of rental.

Proud of the ole brain on this one.

Endorsed by 37,814 Doctors? That’s a LOT of whiskey-loving doctors!!

This full-page ad ran in Life Magazine in 1912. Certainly, a lot has changed in whiskey advertising, but some of these old print ads still manage to grab your attention a hundred years later...

I have said it before, and I will say it again: Butchertown Bakery has the best damn vanilla latte in the city of Louisville. 👍 ☕️

Bad news, my friends. History lied to you about Daniel Boone’s signature headwear look (You can blame Davy Crockett 🧢).

Sorry to ruin your childhood, but the Kentucky wilderness icon actually despised coonskin caps...🥃

Part of me is absolutely dying to know what happened here. Part of me is smart enough to know not to ask any further questions. Quite the sign either way...

I prefer drink coasters that boldly declare my personal philosophies while also keeping my surfaces safe and dry.

I've got a busy evening planned! I'm going to make some time to sip on some Kentucky Bourbon from Angel's Envy, Augusta, Bardstown, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Barrel House Distilling Co., Bluegrass Distillers, Boone County Distilling Co., Buffalo Trace, Bulleit... (1/3)

"Whistlepig's Boss Hog XIII is a straight rye finished in Egyptian black honey and tiger nut seasoned barrels."

Well...that's new. Anyone else feel like were just starting to make stuff up here?

Gotta remember to put this sign up in my office window for all the folks coming to town for Kentucky Bourbon Festival this weekend.

Welcome, whiskey people! Pour heavy, tip well, and try not to trip on the way out! 🥃

This is great to see, yes, but truly Weller Special Reserve is a solid $28 bottle that should’ve been widely available all the time.

This is back to normal instead of lunacy…

Years later, this is still one of the most bizarre and unsettling Tweets I've ever seen. Please enjoy!

Getting all abstract and artsy with the ole profile pic.

Doing my best to see the whiskey from all angles. Tall pours as I enter my Picasso era...

When the liquor store clerk at the register glares at your “Limit 1 Per Person” allocated bottle and accuses you of being the same customer who was just in the shop ten minutes earlier.
