I was having a convo with a friend about how sometimes I feel like it's annoying to people when I'm making posts about selling art and she was like "nooo, I want to see it! post as many times as you want. if you ever feel weird, just remember that there are people who are happy to see it!"

Serious question, where is everyone posting art these days? No platform seems like the right place now and I feel like I barely see anyone's art. I don't even know if anyone makes a living in illustration anymore

Finding out from one of my ADs that I will have to think about getting a us agent in order to work with them because I'm not based in the US makes me sad. It's disheartening. There should not be this many barriers to work in illustration.

Having a day job has improved my mental health immensely. Am I drawing more? no. I am less stressed though and so I have been drawing with a lot less pressure. It's also nice to not have your self-worth be tied to your creative output. Even if I can't do art full-time right now, it's okay.

I really don't understand how a product like this could even be on the market. Meta glasses should be illegal because it violates peoples privacy. You really trust people to use their judgement when history has shown that people use technology for heinous crimes???
Last year when I was checking into a hotel, the desk person was wearing Meta glasses. I kindly asked them to take them off. They were annoyed. I said, “I do not consent to you looking at my credit card and ID with Meta glasses on.” My instincts were correct: www.bbc.com/news/article...

Ageing means you learn how those aunties and uncles end up becoming people that do qigong in the park. I'm sure they were once reluctant youths who didn't listen to their elders and then as they aged ended up just trying every possible thing to find some ease in their ageing bodies. It is me now
