Rhodium is out with its latest emissions projections for the US, which take into account all state & federal policy in place as of 2026. TL;DR: emissions are likely to continue to fall, but not nearly fast enough.

We find that the US is on track to reduce GHG emissions by 27-41% below 2005 levels in 2040, considering all relevant federal and state policies on the books as of June 2026.
