It makes me wonder how these people can pretend that in the next for months, with record high gas prices, supply shortages, the start of heating season, and bond yields fast rising, that there is the possibility of a Fed rate cut. Total madness.

At this point it goes without saying, no Dems should cast a single confirmation vote for any Trump nominee. Too bad if some of the candidates are marginally OK, they are Trump's picks and therefore should be shunned. Another 99-0 vote like Rubio would be a disgrace.

Politicians cannot lower living costs. That's impossible.
Congress *can* create subsidies to reduce the net costs of people in need.
However, presidents and the Congress can definitely do things to raise costs, and that's what we are suffering through now.
Inflation was 2.7% in Nov. 2024.

Any US citizen should have standing to sue the federal govt for any purpose. It's offensive to say a citizen doesn't have legal standing to object to Trump's ballroom or arch. The issue of standing cannot continue to block the questions of legality. Dem Congress get ready to work.
