A proud Yorkshireman, pro rejoining EU, wants equality of opportunity for all, hate discrimination. Addicted to Sheffield United, hence an unfulfilling sports life. Married to the love of my life.
@kellyisablade.bsky.social I should have realised earlier, it’s our 39th wedding anniversary today, so we will share an anniversary from now on. I’d forgot until my daughter asked me if I’d got mum a card!! Have a great day.

And the biggest howler: Reform’s geniuses in Kent were apparently able to repaint a fence, trim the verge, plant grass seed (and get it to grow instantly), redo the pavement and repave the road all so quickly that the car in the top-right corner didn’t move an inch! Amazing!

BBC News at 6 cover Nigel Farage's £5,000,000 gift from a foreign based crypto billionaire

They don't mention the latest revelations from Ben Habib alleging that Farage and Johnson both previously received £1,000,000 from the foreign based billionaire

Loved this description of the Orange Man Baby.

'Our demented pedophile president is stumbling dick-first into a nightmarish quagmire that will make the Iraq War look like a squabble between Boy Scout troops'.

Same to you my friend, we are in Newcastle tomorrow night to go to the Opera, missed the performance of the Marriage of Figaro in Leeds, so thought a trip to Newcastle would be good.

Day one actually in Antarctica, simply amazing, so beautiful and largely unspoilt by humans. Feeling very humbled by it all.

Bluesky is dying
Bluesky was invented to create a nicer space than Twitter. The problem is that too few people have joined and most are smug and boring.

Lovely phrase in yesterday’s times about Qantas executives. ‘Performative Remorse’ not meaning you are really sorry, but say it anyway. Reminds me of ore Water Companies Executives.

Cutting-edge cancer treatments made within days rather than weeks or months.

Personalised gene therapies to be made while patients wait (with only minutes of shelf life).

Both will now be possible thanks to the world-first regulations coming into force today, thanks to the Labour government.
Cutting-edge personalised treatments, made while you wait, will deliver specialised care to patients more quickly
New regulations effective today will make it faster and easier for cutting-edge cancer treatments and personalised gene therapies to be made right where patients are treated.

What cuts ? Rearrangement of eligibility is not the same as a ‘cut’. ‘Cuts’ is a word loaded with meaning that does not fit these circunstances.

Interesting media coverage of Afghan cover up. No headlines about Tory cover up, or Tory destroy immigration blunders. Can’t imagine why.
