Nigel Tranter told me the real 'Stone of Destiny' may have fallen off raft in river as the Monks tried to hide it while a fake local cut stone was left behind or it is in an under water cave beside Turnberry Castle. Looked for it years ago. Ask 'AI' to animate raft image.

The 'Stone of Destiny' taken from Scotland in 1296 by King Edward I was seized back in 1950 & found at Arbroath on Christmas Day 1951 then taken back to Westminster. Nigel Tranter told me it was a 700 year old fake. That the real one was black saddle shape & covered with carvings

In the 1960/70s everyone went to Kirk on Sunday. To become members of the Kirk at Whitekirk we had a weekly class with the Minister. I befuddled him by saying early images of angels were aliens in spacesuits & to show they were flying with jetpacks the artists added wings & halos were helmets.

The ruins of the Jacobite-era Bernera Barracks near Glenelg. Built between 1719 and 1723, they were intended to guard what was at the time the main route to and from the Isle of Skye. The barracks were abandoned by the military in 1797. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot...
