Another game of Where's Waldo with a well camouflaged GPO out in the open. This one was less interactive than the one last week, unfortunately

Phenomenal dive with a friendly octopus that I’m naming Francine.

Best Friend Matt found this little guy so I stopped to watch it for 20 minutes.

Best Friend Matt found this wolf eel at 100’. We don’t usually go to this part of the wall but it was a crazy low tide today. Found the octo on the way back. I got a handshake out of it before I turned the cam on 🤝

No wolf eel today, but lots of stealth predators. Two decorated warbonnets in their usual spot by the overhang, a great sculpin, plainfin midshipman and a cabezon at the safety stop

Went to visit the wolf eels but stopped to watch a baby octo hiding under a piece of kelp

Really nice dive out to the plumose garden and back. Happened upon this guy just hanging out at 33’ so stopped to watch it for 15 minutes

Patience pays off. This little guy was hiding under a shell, but found us interesting enough to investigate. Tried to play the ‘pull my finger’ game without much success

Crappy visibility combined with a bit more current than I generally like, but still managed to find a few interesting critters.

Great dive at Kelvin. Three wolf eels, two tiger rock fish, one octo, a grunt sculpin, a clown dorid and more giant dendronotids that I could count

Really good dive at Ansell, despite the tricky entry

Went in search of the wolf eel den. Didn't find it....but did one better. Kind of a crappy vid since there was a lot of backscatter, but still pretty cool

Really bad visibilty so just focused on the little stuff. Spotted a longfin gunnel on the way down, with a diamondback tritonia and white-lined dirona on the wall.

Not the best visibility today and didn't see anything super cool, but managed to find what I think is a baby sailfin sculpin. Google Gemini agrees, but I think it may just be trying to flatter me

Encounter with another inquisitive octopus. Chris got an extended handshake, but pulled away before the fourth arm got to him. They look small but they're surprisingly strong.

Really good dive at Ansell. There was a wolf eel at 100', and this friendly octobuddy at 40'. Despite recoiling in disgust the first time around, I was able to eventually get a civilized handshake

The bay at Kelvin Grove is my favourite part of the dive. There's always something interesting to see in the sand if you go slowly and keep your eyes open. Best Friend Matt spotted this baby grunt sculpin by the old mooring line.

Decorator crabs are kind of cool. They attach random stuff they find around them and wear it as a camouflage. Spent half my safety stop watching this one go about its day

For some reason we've been seeing sea angels on our dives lately, which is odd because they usually live far deeper than we'd ever go. Really hard to photograph them because the lens has a hard time focusing on them as they bob up and down in the water.

It’s rare to see one stubby squid, let alone two. Best Friend Matt spotted this one half buried in the sand. It was the largest stubby we’ve ever seen…about the size of a baseball

Stubby squid just as we descended. As is often the case, Kevin wouldn’t have noticed it if it hadn’t squirted a trail of ink
