For years the right wingers have complained and railed over the concept of “participation trophies”. Saying that’s what’s wrong with the liberal left. What I’m seeing right now with these confirmation hearings is the republican equivalent to that.

Because of this funding freeze my wife’s livelihood is now at stake. She will lose her job, which will cause more financial hardship. And more broadly, the people who benefited from the organization she works for will be at considerable risk to life and limb.

My aunt has never gone through the process of becoming a naturalized citizen, choosing to maintain her green card status for about 52 years now. I wonder how my Trump loving cousin feels about being an anchor baby?
