Scottish actor and impressionist Lewis MacLeod has gone viral across social media for his highly accurate and sharply satirical impersonation of US President Donald Trump. Widely regarded as one of the most convincing Trump mimics, MacLeod’s performances have drawn praise for their vocal precision, exaggerated mannerisms and clever humour.MacLeod regularly features on BBC Radio 4’s satirical programme Dead Ringers and shares short sketches on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, where several of his videos have racked up millions of views. Social media users have applauded his ability to capture Trump’s tone, cadence and self-aggrandising style with remarkable authenticity. One widely shared sketch has MacLeod’s Trump boasting about ending multiple wars, including fictional ones like Star Wars and War of the Worlds, a satirical take on Trump’s frequent claims of being a global peacemaker. Viewers have described the impression as “brilliant” and “scarily accurate,” noting that it balances criticism with humour without turning overly dark.MacLeod’s Trump impression has become a standout example of political satire resonating with global audiences in the digital age.VIDEO COURTESY: @privateeyenews#lewismacleod #donaldtrump #trumpimpression #deadringers #politicalsatire #ᴠɪʀᴀʟᴠɪᴅᴇᴏ #bbc #comedynight #t7newsView all 12,779 comments
