Funny story from last night. Helen has this small deck box outside. When we first got here yesterday afternoon The pups were very interested in it. Sniffing a lot so I opened it and there’s just a bag of birdseed in there. When we went out for our potty last night, they were very interested.

Cleaning out my old car before it takes its final ride to become a parts donor. It was one of Mr Jack’s favorite places & he left little bits of himself in every nook & cranny. Feels a bit silly to be emotional over some shed fluff but underneath my gruff exterior I’m basically a giant marshmallow.

I bought a mandolin cutter because I wanted to try to be healthy and eat more vegetables, and everyone told me to be careful when I used it, to use the guard or even gloves, but I didn’t, and ended up slicing my fingertip

Kept secret to protect tourism LKF, Texas bunnies are actually viscous apex predators. This fellow’s job is to lure you with cuteness and then the whole fluffle descends upon you and strips your carcass to the bone in minutes. I’m currently without canine protection so housebound until he hops off.

If you will allow me a cranky old man moment: I really hate that interviewing baseball players while they are actually on the field playing the game has become a thing. It’s so disrespectful to the game. (Watching the game from last night this morning because it’s better than watching the news.)
A beautiful evening here alongside the Nenana River just outside Denali NP in glorious Alaska. We start our journey home tomorrow but it’s been a wonderful trip with my mother, my brother, his wife and my two nephews. Going to miss the weather here which is about 50 degrees cooler than home. 🩷🫎🐻❤️

A beautiful evening here alongside the Nenana River just outside Denali NP in glorious Alaska. We start our journey home tomorrow but it’s been a wonderful trip with my mother, my brother, his wife and my two nephews. Going to miss the weather here which is about 50 degrees cooler than home. 🩷🫎🐻❤️
Reviewing the route for my upcoming cruise to Alaska and, look, intellectually I know Alaska is just up the coast a bit past the land of poutine and Timbits, but I still managed to be a bit surprised that it’s not an island somewhere in the general vicinity of Hawai’i.
