I am amazed that for a few years we had the ability to instantly access information through an almost perfect search engine and the makers of that search engine decided hundreds of billions wasn’t enough profit so they destroyed it
Google is now screwing with the 10 blue links in traditional search and rewriting headlines - including ours - to be the worst kind of slop. This sucks so bad www.theverge.com/tech/896490/...

See what being soft on crime gets you? When you fail to prosecute the criminal element in the US, it spreads. And becomes responsible for countless deaths by shutting down USAID.
Forgot to observe the 8th anniversary of one of the many things that should have ended the career of this menace to humanity.

Because a product that actually improved safety would need to do so in secret, obviously. It's a scam. Always was.

These people are perverts and freaks, and we should all just say so.
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play

If you post survey data, news articles, etc. without a link back to the source whenever possible, you are weakening the informational chain of custody and making it harder for other people to confirm that they're seeing accurate information.

This holds even if you're mad at whatever it is.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

This is framed as a feel-good story, but it should scare the wits out of anybody on the road.

Tesla's deceptive marketing is convincing seniors that the cars drive themselves. In reality, a human must always be ready to intervene.

If someone lacks the ability to do that, they shouldn't be driving!
Forget rideshare. How seniors are using Teslas for transportation
As Waymo and Tesla robotaxi services promise more rides for more cities, seniors are taking matters into their own hands and self-driving Teslas.

Rapid Scaling Turns into AV Achilles’ Heel
AV operations aren't scaling because their vehicles have gotten safer. In contrast, scaling is exposing AVs' weaknesses, as evidenced by each recall involving software updates that proved ineffective.

The thing about social media age restrictions is that it treats today’s internet as an inevitability we all just have to deal with. The internet (and the WORLD) wasn’t like this until like four dudes were allowed to own & monetize as much tech real estate as they wanted. Fix THAT problem.

If the next #nothing flagship has UWB and a decent camera setup, I'll probably never buy another #pixel phone again. Everyone talked shit about Phone 3, and that thing is still better than my Pixel 10 in the ways I care about.

I learned something long ago after implementing a corporate internet monitoring tool. Humans forget they're being watched, and we behave our worst when watching. These tools are abused 100% of the time they're deployed, and only creeps want them.

I'm sick to death of people in the tech industry that don't want to know how anything works, don't want an understanding of the tools, environments, and technology they interact with. Fuck off with this "ask AI how to..." bullshit.
