Mayari is the Moon Goddess in the Pilipino Folklore.
I’m only the 3rd owner. The previous owner took such great care of her. I plan to do the same. But I don’t know much about cars. I’ll figure it out. This is my journey.
Took a 4 month hiatus to fix little things. Then July to Now: my friend installed sequential LED brake lights, aluminum radiator with period correct hoses, vintage Bluetooth stereo with pioneers, 15” wood steering wheel, fuel filler neck w eliminator, fuel cap, and Konig Special D shocks.

Finally got the new Wilwood disc brakes in by Dusty’s Speed Shop! They did such an amazing job. They made custom in-house brake lines too. I feel safer already.

I fixed the brake lights by adding LED light bulbs. But now they don’t blink at all. Apparently it needs a new flasher for LED bulbs. But at least the brake lights work. Then the dash light needed a new fuse. Took me an hour.

Next up while I wait for the shop to open a spot for disc brakes, I add an H pipe and dual magnaflow exhaust with rounded tips.

Also the lights went out in the speedometer and apparently the driver’s side brake light so I had to look up how to fix those

So I got quotes on installing disc brakes bc the drum brakes scare me a little. I got used to them but still wanted safety.
Decided on Wilwood but they needed min 15” rims. I had 14”. So I needed to change them first before the brakes. I went with the Shelby rims.

This is how I got her. Stock and ALL original. 289 V8. Runs well. The drum brakes scared me. I was like. Ahh stop!! And really push down. Wouldn’t be able to workout legs then drive her later lol early Sept 2025.
