I like reading quick thoughts and opinions from friends on the games they play, and I'll do another thread this year. It also helps me be more active on here.

2026 Games Completed Thread:
I need to play catch-up on my games completed list...

Somewhat random shout, if you messaged me in the last two months and I didn't reply, I apologize. I've been dealing with work, illness, and injury, and been taking a break from social media.

Doing better now, so I should be more available going forward.

For Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, I wrote up numerous pages of tips, information, system explainers, plus guided walkthroughs for each protagonist.

I even drew a few maps that should be very helpful (like for exploring the desert!).

Paralogues, Recruitment, Support, New Game Plus?, it's all here.
Picking up Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave? We have a bunch of guides to help you out, including walkthroughs for each playable protagonist. Here's our Getting Started page, with links to our more detailed guides: https://www.rpgsite.net/guide/21407-fire-emblem-fortunes-weave-getting-started-guide

Mu is indeed the Donnel of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (their personal ability is specifically enhanced stat growths).

While they may seem like an awkward/bratty teen at the start, feed them some EXP and they'll become a powerhouse in your final endgame party. My Mu punched everything to oblivion.
Mu is so important to me.

Breaking my Bluesky hiatus to say I have put 250 hours into Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (I did NOT play this game normally) and there will be more from me soon...

I'm getting so many "Are you going to Gamescom?" emails that I have to decline or pass on. I really really need to make an effort to go next year.

Did you know MOMO is widely considered the strongest character in Xenosaga Episode II, due to her high EATK stat and piercing non-elemental behavior. She can be easily manipulated in Boost chains to deal extremely high damage, and she can heal! I have no idea where she got the bow and beret, though.

Final Fantasy X was a formative game for me, something I'll never really truly be able to look at objectively.

I wrote a bit about it with the 20th anniversary, 5 years ago, about how I resonate with the themes of grief more as an adult than I ever did as a pre-teen: www.rpgsite.net/feature/1148...

Been playing Endless Ragnarok and, yea, not a fan of the repetitive endgame material grind hamster wheel. Been watching hours of second-screen YouTube as I go to help fight the boredom.

Beyond proud of the June that @rpgsite.net had. We had some great announcements, though not exactly any mega-mega releases -- but the site just breezed to well over 5mil pageviews, with an average non-bounce session duration of just under 15 minutes(!); a super engaged audience. The team rocks.

I'm just going to come right out and say it this time - treating video game studios like some kind of fantasy football draft, in the wake of mass layoffs no less, is sickening. The last three years, ...

I'm involved a bit in this too. Not so much in the day-to-day, but (probably) more as a communication facilitator, as I've been the point of contact for RPG Site for ~14 years

To PR friends, I'm no longer allowed to say something 'isn't in scope', because Respec isn't defined by genre conventions.

Seeing some people comment along the lines of 'Obsidian should have been working on Fallout years ago!'. That's fine if that's what they want to do, but I hope they aren't just relegated to be developer muscle for someone else's IP.
