Holly Rowe is one of best in the business, but her report just now about heat for the Texas vs Ohio State game is problematic but not unique to her. She just said there are several guys on OSU roster that are from Texas so "used to this type of heat..." This is anomalous heat. No one is used to it

Ominous for the this El Nino...Will be possibly the strongest one anyone alive has seen.
After a nearly month-long plateau Nino3.4 region temperatures (ONI) are on their way back up. We've now surpassed 1982/1983 and are only behind 2015/2016 in terms of maximum daily values.
And its only early September.

A welcomed nod to fan and facility staff wellness in this piece on heat saftey in college sports. Fans and event staff are often the most vulnerable to heat and heat emergencies in tight stadium stands puts unique pressures on local first responders

There are 3 hurricanes in the Pacific basin early Saturday morning and NO, one of them is NOT going to hit Los Angeles. However, major #HurricaneLowell will impact #Hawaii. My discussion of what to expect and insight on why the Pacific basin has been so active

This...but I am also not a fan of the polar bear imagery though. As much as I like polar bears, it is about food prices, health, energy, infrastructure and national security. These resonate with the average person trying to make ends meet
