It is in the interests of every country that touches the Pacific to deescalate the regional arms race and to oppose this kind of militarisation.

It is also long past time to join the push to ban nuclear weapons.

Show me a party that is against AUKUS and that’s the party I vote for. Sick of this!
If the support internally is so strong why are they so afraid of debate?

It’s because AUKUS, which is led and directed by the US, is a strategic surrender to Washington.

The truth is, AUKUS is about as patriotic as Pine Gap, no matter how hard Labor spins it.

No surprise that the government can't or won't explain what is "legitimate criticism of the actions of Israel"

The clear message from Segal and the Israel lobby - who the govt takes its antisemitism advice from - is that there is no such thing.

Excellent backgrounder from Daniel Hurst. #auspol
Australian govt docs say contentious definition of antisemitism "does not prevent legitimate criticism of the actions of Israel" - but officials won’t clarify if ok to accuse it of apartheid/racial segregation as per ICJ ruling

'Legitimate criticism' of Israel is fine, internal governments docs say. It's unclear what this means
Documents obtained by Crikey paint an ambiguous picture of what counts as antisemitic in the government's eyes, as it continues to apply a controversial definition.

Fabulous. The tide has turned in the US.

Democrats who call out Israel's crimes are getting nominated and will be elected in November.
Democrats who are still taking AIPAC bribes are toast.

Time to ensure Australia's Israel lobby loses their inordinate influence on our politics. #auspol

Tonight she won the Democratic nomination in deep blue CO-1 against a 15-term AIPAC entrenched corporate Democrat

But a pity that Labor's position on appointments to the #NACC reflects their broader approach to transparency and integrity for the anti-corruption body. #auspol
The Senate has backed our push for transparency in NACC appointments.

The Attorney-General must release all documentation on candidates, and the committee will interview them directly. A corruption watchdog needs to be chosen in the open (only Labor opposing this!)
