Happy voting day to all Berliner:innen! My thoughts from a few days ago on how we went from the SPD abandoning it’s own govt in 2023 to back the CDU, to today possibly on the cusp of the first Linke led coalition to govern the city.
If this polling holds up, on Sunday Berlin will become the second Bundesland in history to have a government led by The Left party.

Issue for people outside Sweden to understand: if current Right-Nationalist govt bloc win by even 1 vote, they will be able form a government without major problems. But narrow Left-Green-Center bloc win does not guarantee a new coalition government. Internal conflicts could sink them.
Latest prognosis from Swedish Television, unlike the exit poll from 2 hours ago where the Left-Green-Center held a clear lead, now puts the Swedish election as basically a dead heat. New prognosis puts the Left-Green-Center bloc as holding a 1 seat lead in parliament. This will be a long process.
Polls just closed in Swedish elections. Swedish Television's exit poll (over 13,000 respondents) has just been released.

The reason Reform have been shown to be so happy to break electoral law is because they’ve been able to get away with breaking it so often in the past, stretching right back to their days as UKIP & the Brexit Party. If laws had been enforced we might not be here.
