Really sad news about a tenacious climate advocate, blogger, and communicator. His Climate Progress blog was truly must-read content for year.

Joe was truly one of a kind and will be missed by many. May his memory be a blessing.

I think we're having an elite panic about AI over fake extinction stories, and not one about data centers and carbon pollution, simply because they think that data centers and carbon pollution only affect people poorer than them.

The big media buying companies are secretly some of the worst actors in our economy.

They took billions in kickbacks to direct money to Google's ad networks, which destroyed independent media. They then lied to their clients about the true costs of their buys. everything-pr.com/wpp-foster-s...

I've voted in every single primary and general election from the same address using the same ID for years, and I still got purged from Texas' voter roles.

I got purged, so did my neighbor - incidentally in the most Democratic leaning precincts in the state. Who could have guessed.
Dallas Morning News reported that Texas has suspended 6% of registered voters without telling them

Texans can use this link to check their voting status: goelect.txelections.civixapps.com/ivis-mvp-ui/...

People who have been purged can still register before October 5.

The most important climate action you can take isn’t obsessing over your individual carbon footprint.

We need to change the system so the easiest, most affordable choice for everyone is also the best choice.

How do we change a system?

It starts with your voice!

I keep thinking about how Republicans had a chance to kill Paxton's political career during his impeachment in 2023. Dan Patrick chickened out, and now they're stuck with him forever. Entirely self-inflicted.

Exxon: carbon capture's potential is "limitless" and we are leaders in CCS!

Also Exxon: suing the EU so as not to be forced to do CCS.

This is the least surprising thing ever.
Exxon is annoyed EU is insisting on some kind of CO2 capture

Makes most sense if you think oil company advocacy for CCS is more about pretending to politicians they have an answer for climate change, rather than their actual willingness to do anything about it
