I’m taking a moment to share one outcome from Moving Social Work that I’m especially grateful for. In April, I delivered 3 sessions of a training I designed from my research on conversations about physical activity between social care staff (SCS), people with disabilities & companions. 🧵1/12

The 29/04 I’ve been invited by the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics at @newcastleuni.bsky.social to present my monograph. I’m honoured & terrified. I take the chance to ‘be a linguist again’ with pride & joy, but I’m afraid I forgot a bit this style of presentation! Stay tuned!

⭐️I’m glad that this important paper is finally out!

📣✨We know that times are increasingly difficult in HE, and ECRs often shoulder much of the burden.
We are also in the process of rethinking and reinvigorating the network.

So… we want to put on another in person event, the first for a few years, before strategising our next moves.

I saw on IG this wonderful #inclusivedisability image by @chronicloveclub.bsky.social and I wanted to say thank you! In my own work, we struggle to see imagery of real inclusive disabilities. It’s so important to give representation to all lived-experience, especially when we cannot directly see it!
