There are endless studies showing this and also the financial and societal benefits of universal basic income and or housing-first policies but the U.S. never goes for any of it because it would require allowing the poor to receive benefits that the rich consider “undeserved”

My wife and I adopted masking in two specific places. The airport/airplane and also the gym. We never stopped doing it and always find ourselves in the extreme minority. But you know what? We haven't even gotten a cold since doing this, let alone COVID. I'm a big baby when sick, so this is great.
Just like all previous summers since the pandemic began, COVID-19 cases are ticking up again, even while other health threats make more headlines.
