Weird situation for console release of Mewgenics in Australia. The game should be out, but it's unavailable on the eShop/PS Store.

Ed McMillen says it's on 'hold' due to rating stuff.

The Classification Board told me it's been rated M (Violence, Mature Themes, Drug References, Coarse Language).

Steam has implemented age verification measures for Australian customers, restricting them from purchasing or even viewing titles that carry a local age rating of R18+.

Currently, the one and only method of age verification is linking a supported credit card to a Steam account.

The move follows changes to Australia’s online safety code, and similar implementations on the PlayStation and Xbox storefronts.

Small scoop from the team today. Odd way to go about this.
PowerWash Simulator developer FuturLab has quietly made layoffs following a project cancellation.

Sources claim managers were initially not informed of cuts "to not give them any of the guilt," and claim staff were told not to use the term ‘redundancy,' but call the affected workers ‘the leavers.'

FuturLab CEO Kirsty Rigden confirmed the project cancellation to TWIV, and confirmed that employees had "left the business."

I reported on the secret of its success, from "Crapcom" in the early 2010s to its one-banger-after-another present, speaking to many of its most illustrious producers.
