good there is media coverage about the global impact of trump's war, though unfortunate things had to get to the protest level before bringing attention to the matter. it's a big world out there.

49 days to the midterm elections. the huge US bond market is *screaming*, "we don't like the policies of this administration, we don't believe this administration and if it won't change course, we will pay less to buy your debt which means a higher interest rate for us."

Breaking News: The 10-year Treasury yield, one of the world’s most important interest rates, breached 5% for the first time in years, capping a long stretch of turmoil in the bond market that has pushed up borrowing costs for companies and consumers.

wasn't in new york for 9/11, but know exactly where i was. painful memories of people dying, paramedic relatives now suffering from cancer and the mirage of safety on U.S. soil melted away. but the nation did come together. wonder if that can happen again, but without the disaster? #september11

watched "the terminator" tonight.
filmed in the year 1984
the movie begins in 2029,
in an apocalyptic los angeles.

hadn't seen it in a while,
but given the orwelian film date
and current events
and the recent cyber escapades,
guess it's time to pay attention.

"I'm Still Here" (Netflix) is a powerful and disconcerting movie to watch in light of the current state of affairs in the US. based on a true story in Brazil, with brilliant performances all around. it should make one think harder about ICE.
