Belated Iowa game review: yeahhhhhhh 👎🏼 defense tried to make the game a tractor pull, but the offense forgot to come and anyway Jeremiah Smith is unfair. We’re on to Seattle.
Belated Iowa game review: hootin’ and hollerin’, sure Michigan blew it but also Hawks made enough plays to keep the game close and win. Had a negroni at a rooftop bar in downtown IC to celebrate.
Belated Iowa game review: doesn’t seem necessary to play a game if you’re gonna run for 422 yards and have 3 backs go over 100 as part of that. Just play a board game or something next time. We’ll see what happens next week!

My daughter’s soccer game is smack dab in the middle of the Hawks/OSU game today, so I will be having A Responsible Two Beers™️, go cheer for the kid’s squad, watch the end of the game on delay. No spoilers k thx

my stoic take on this is I’d rather they sign a young guy who sucks than an old guy who sucks, if those are the options
Trade! The Vikings are sending QB J.J. McCarthy to the Giants for a 2027 fifth-round pick, sources tell The Ringer and Netflix Sports.

With Jaxson Dart out for the regular season, New York adds another young QB, while Minnesota gains flexibility and McCarthy gets a fresh start.

Belated Iowa game review: phew!; o-line, get back to moving ass please; defense ended up suffocating the cyclones in 2nd half (esp 4Q); QB misses to open guys are gonna be an issue; rules of El Assico always apply, not sure why anyone would’ve expected anything different

nothing has ever iowa’ed as hard as the is story is iowa’ing www.nytimes.com/athletic/762...
At 87, all Tom Moore wants to do is coach football, and Iowa is reaping the benefits
As Iowa’s senior offensive advisor, Moore’s impact is that of a consigliere to 71-year-old head coach Kirk Ferentz and his staff.

this is about the sea green Silverado parked down the street from me, isn’t it (don’t get me wrong, I’m more of a Tacoma guy, but this specific colorway on the mid-90s Silverado’s is epic)

Belated Iowa game review: o-line moved ass: defense gave up one (1) first down, on a PI, before backups; fascinating QB competition between a dry guy (Hank) and a wet guy (Heck), keep it for a few weeks I guess?; Tony Diaz is so good he will make my uncles cry

I had to eat this napkin
Back of the napkin, looks tough for the Rockies to win 8 more games to avoid 100 losses. Likely sweep in NY. At Detroit, eeh? 🤷. Gotta play above .500 ball vs two NL West teams and the M's at home before closing season in Chicago. I'm pulling for them but they might not get there. Hope I'm wrong!

Apocalypse brackets are the new fantasy football.
I didn't trust AI to tell me whether AI will kill us all in the next decade. So I turned to the one branch of science more reliable than LLMs: Bracketology
The AI Apocalypse Bracket: Just How Doomed Are We, Really?
Is AI really likely to wipe out humanity within the next decade? We used the most scientific tool in existence to get an answer.
