I’m back—and I’ve brought a photo with me!
It’s been a while!

Echoes of the Gods (2026)

I wanted to use my heartbeat—not a recording, but the sound of that exact moment.
I changed microphones. Tried effects. Bought a stethoscope. Tested tiny microphones.
I didn't count the failures.

The curtain rose.
My heartbeat sounded.
A little faster than in rehearsal.
That's a secret.

Mini-Tumi had a fever after my performance, so I decided to be a GOOD MOTHER for once.

Naturally, I caught it next.

Mini-Tumi: mild fever.
Mother: 39.9°C.

Apparently, trying to be a GOOD MOTHER is still not one of my special skills.

Back to human life now. 😆

The curtain rose.

The heartbeat.
The projections.
The experiments I had dreamed of for years.

They finally found their place on stage.

Thank you to everyone who was there—and to everyone who supported us from afar.

My heart is simply full of gratitude.

Before a voice becomes a song.

What if we could search together for the voice that exists before prayer?

2 days to go.

Full rehearsal.
Sound fills the space.
Voices answer.
Just a little further.

4 days to go.

Some people don't simply make sound.

They make the world feel wider.

Working with Katsutoshi Shirasuna reminds me of that.

Every woven cloth carries the time of the hands that made it.

This is one of the costumes I'll wear on June 27.

The story behind it:

Every experiment needs someone you can trust.

For me, that's pianist Shinya Sato.

Now another experiment begins.

As we prepare for our June 27 performance, rehearsals with Mikita Hase have begun.
Every stroke of his taiko is incredibly refined.
I'm saving my excitement for June 27.

One of the nice things about being with a small child is that you can be wholeheartedly excited without hesitation.

Today I'll stay home and work on invitations for my June 27 performance.

On typhoon days, the whole city feels a little more like a child.

Spiral Aoyama.

Visited the Baltic Animation & Illustration Exhibition.

Mini-Tumi was happy to see a friend she hadn't met since autumn.

She was just as delighted by this morning's typhoon, and we walked to kindergarten shouting and laughing together.

The next chapter is now live 🌏

There were tears in her eyes — not mine.
No matter how difficult it was, no matter how exhausting, even if I inconvenienced others along the way—

still, I wanted to reach for both.

No—
we wanted to reach for both.

Lithuanian Čiurlionis exhibition, a bar on the 25th floor, Meiji Shrine, a rose garden.

Every time she sees adults posing with peace signs for photos,
my two-year-old happily murmurs:

“Same.”

How long has it been
since we stopped showing our age with our hands?

“Isn’t it simply a question of whether we can be happy together?”

We talk, look at the same things, pick up acorns together.

Inside the space of a concert hall,
we are searching for something like

I had been noticing that notebook throughout the trip. At every stop she carefully recorded the journey in it.
I imagined it must be something like my own lyric notebook—a companion for the road, something precious.
And she had torn a page from it to make a cat.I wondered whether I could do the same

Mini-Tumi remained quiet through the speeches by Ambassador Aurelijus Zykas.

One of the speakers was Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Alfiya Eriko.
That the first Japanese politician Mini-Tumi truly observed was a woman filled me, as a mother, with a quiet sense of strength.

A reception celebrating the National Day of Lithuania🇱🇹
For various reasons, Mini-Tumi came with me.
People of all ages, Lithuanian and Japanese alike, warmly said, “It’s wonderful to come to a place like this together.”
Their kindness stayed with me.

I used to feel like a piece was finished the moment it was done. But now I feel like it lives on. A small, quiet shift inside me — and it feels good.

This one doesn't quite look like a maternity photo 🤭 If you're curious, the maternity collection is here:

So happy about this 🥹
