I can't watch Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom because as a kid I saw That Scene and That Scene only on cable one night. I tried to watch once as an adult and had a panic attack instead.

I think the thing that pisses me off the most about that Schmitt asshole is his apparent inability to comprehend that men go to women's basketball games.

My little garden is currently overrun by morning glory, my sworn enemy. I went to tear some out just now and realized it's choking out the mint, which I have never forgiven the previous owners for. It has my begrudging respect.

It's 2:42pm. We're in Baltimore waiting for light rail to get to the Orioles game. At 2:10 the next train was 28 minutes away. It is currently, allegedly, 6 minutes away.
Probably for the best that no station managers are here today.

Richmond is a city blessed with many food festivals. A number of residents will tell you the Greek Festival is the best. Some might crown the Armenian Festival. Or perhaps A Taste of India.
Those are all great, to be sure.
But the real ones know it's the Lebanese Festival.

So uh, I don't recommend black fly bites. I got a few on Friday. Last night the itch kept me awake for an hour and a half and I found myself wondering exactly how bad it would be to live without one lower leg. This morning it's still bad but not "amputation would be preferable" bad.

Looking for a hotel/spa in DC. Apparently the Watergate has an amazing spa package. However, breakfast is $41/day and it's not near a Metro stop. The search continues.

So Saturday we bought a couple containers of very astonishingly wonderful pickles. Today, on the train ride home, one container cracked and leaked brine in one of my bags. My knitting was in that bag. Now my scarf smells like pickles. This is not actually a bad thing.
(The pickles were unharmed.)
