I'm tired and at first glance misread this as 'Chegger's Resident Evil earns praise'. A kid's TV show being overrun by people infected by the T-virus would probably be pretty scary.

You can always rely on The Grauniad for a typo. 'hris Coons'.

A little disappointed to learn that the TVA was digital and not a matte painting. I know most people don't care, but I love a well-crafted matte.
After watching Avengers: Endgame (I'd forgotten how emotional it is) this evening, I've gone straight on to Loki. Loki feels different to other MCU TV shows; it seems to have a little more heft to it that some other shows lack. #AvengersDoomsday

I knew that Angine de Poitrine were making their US TV debut on The Tonight Show but getting a brand new track, Zugzegk, was a bonus! #AngineDePoitrine

It's not often someone I knew gets an obituary in The Guardian. I didn't know Ally as well as some folk, but that didn't seem to matter. He always had time for a chat and a laugh, often with a generous Long Island iced tea, any time I saw him in The Village. RIP.

I don't know if there's signage up but I see the name of the place has now changed to the Westfield St James Quarter. I bet a large proportion of Edinburgh residents still call it the St James Centre!
I'm pretty sure that nobody is going to call it that and the Westfield bit will be dropped in a few years. I think one shopping centre in the middle of Edinburgh pointlessly re-branding every few years is quite enough.
Looks like The St James Quarter is preparing to rebrand as “Westfield, St James Quarter”
- Always reported first on City-Scope ;)

📝 Westfield fascia signage could be added to glazed entrance screens at St James Quarter on Multrees Walk, Little King Street and Register sq

I don't know where the notion that wearing a kilt if you're not Scottish is some kind of cultural appropriation came from. Nobody cares, have at it!

Since Donald Trump’s re-election in 2024, there has been a 63% rise in Americans renting properties in Scotland. Politics is one reason – but there are many other surprising motivations …

After seeing the final trailer for Digger I'm still not sold on it. If the film is supposed to have an 'off' vibe then it looks like it's succeeding in spades. #Digger
The upcoming Tom Cruise film Digger has one of the most perplexing trailers I've ever seen. After watching it I have no idea what the film is about. Maybe the reviews, once they come out, will help me make sense of it. #Digger

Very odd how Trump spells 'dumocrats' without a 'b', given that he keeps banging on about how not a lot of people know that there's a 'b' in dumb. Of course, everyone knows how dumb is spelt. Trump himself only recently learnt this information and, for some reason, feels the need to evangelise.

I hate how the BBC reports ongoing stories. Just give me an article I can read, update it occasionally. I find stories with live updates like this very difficult to engage with.

I finally made it to The Keelson on The Shore today. The rotisserie chicken was great. Great service and atmosphere too. I probably bored the poor waiting staff with my acoustic panels chat!

Irksome that Campervan are closing Lost in Leith. Commercial Quay seems to be not great for bars and restaurants. If I had to guess it's probably down to a combination of lack of casual footfall and high rent. I still miss Bond No. 9, such a great space that managed to be very adaptable. Oh well.

Guitar is more consistently staying in tune recently. I probably should have changed the strings sooner!
A small achievement today. I restrung my guitar for the first time AND got it back in tune!
