we're working on the v2 of our standard.site link cards. these cards currently link to both the article (top part) and publication (bottom part). they show a "Subscribe" button when possible, otherwise a "View Publication" button.

It keeps confusing me that the main call to action in these cards (the button) does NOT go to the article but to the main website
Is it just me that finds this weird...? The main visual CTA for a card about an article should go to that article no...?

Statement released by Canadian @gandersocial.ca about its partnership with @eurosky.social. Gander is also introducing a 900 characters long posts which hopefully @mu.social will also adopt and a verification that won’t require uploading ID. Looking forward to see how the partnership develops.

Oh wow, this is great news! @wsocial.eu are claiming to be building their own streaming feature, which I had assumed would not be interoperable – but if it's @stream.place under the hood, that's fantastic! (I just wish they'd acknowledge it instead of pretending to be doing their own thing.)

I’m fairly sure #Bluesky might consider this if #Wsocial keeps becoming increasingly adversarial.

I’m fairly sure #Bluesky might consider this if #Wsocial keeps becoming increasingly adversarial.
Without the rest of the atmosphere, it basically turns into a European version of #TruthSocial, but these brainiacs can’t get their heads around that.

Yes #WSocial hosts 35,656 accounts (as of today at 9am). BUT! Only 7,087 are verified with ID. Of those, only 3,228 have ever published a single post or reply.
‼️ 90,9% of W Social users have never posted.
