It can be overwhelming to witness/experience/take in all the injustices of the moment; the good news is that *they're all connected.* So it your little corner of work involves pulling at one of the threads, you're helping to unravel the whole damn cloth. (Ursula Wolf-Rocca tweet 2/23/22)

The Big Lie is not that there was a stolen election, it is that in Matthew 25, Jesus didn't really mean what he said.
(From Mary Luti, edited to fit)
Mt 25, the identification that Jesus declares between himself and the least of these is not sentimental, psychological, or metaphorical, but real and absolute. Blasphemy against Jesus is not AI-images; it is systematic, violent uncoupling of Jesus from his true body.

Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
you shall be called the repairer of the breach,
the restorer of streets to live in.
—Isaiah 58:12

God suggests that we, the community, we are the restorer of our streets. Following MSP's lead, lets do it.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Psalm 15
Who may abide in your tent? Dwell on your holy hill?
Walk blamelessly, speak truth,
no slander or evil to friends or neighbors.
Despise the wicked, honor those who fear God.
Stand by oaths, do not charge interest or pay bribes.
Those who do these things shall never be moved.

Interesting article that suggests to me that one of the side affects of getting universal health care would be that we make different choices on immunization schedules.
We have so many people fall through the cracks.

Why Denmark's vaccine schedule works for Denmark — but not for the United States
With its vaccine schedule, “Denmark has made a values choice to accept preventable hospitalizations and illnesses that other countries have chosen to prevent.”

Remember the days when the police were brave and protected us? Did such a time exist or were they always more afraid than we are? (Real questions, I don't know the history.)
A+ protesting, Portland!

Habakkuk 1:2-4
Lord, how long shall I cry help, & you will not listen?
Cry violence & you will not save?
Why make me see wrongdoing & trouble?
Destruction & violence, strife & contention arise.
The law becomes slack; justice never prevails.
The wicked surround the righteous; judgment is perverted.

Amos 8:4-7 Listen, you who trample the needy, and bring to ruin the poor, listen you who rush to make food servings smaller and more expensive, listen you with false balances and you who fail to leave the last of the harvest for the poor.
God promises not to forget your deeds.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

They are piercing a lot of other people with grief, too.

I can think of a few others, as well.

Amos 6:4-7. Woe to those with beds of ivory, eating lambs and calves. Those who sing idle songs, drink wine, and anoint themselves with finest oils, and are not grieved over the ruin around them.
They shall be the first into exile.

When God began creating ... the earth was complete chaos, ... God said, “Let there be light,” it was. God saw the light was good (from Gen 1:1-4).

Remember that it is in chaos that new things are created. Look for what is good, water it, and tend it, celebrate each small good thing.
