Vote early and in person, folks. If you're in a "vote by mail" state and can deliver your mail-in vote directly rather than relying on USPS this year, do it. Otherwise get it into the mail at the earliest possible date.

The Postal Service is slowing delivery. Will your mail ballot be affected?

Women famously voted for the right to vote
If voting worked… voting got women the franchise and produced the Civil Rights Era victories of the 60’s, which stood until someone stacked the Supreme Court. Voting got people into office who repealed Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, created the CFPB, capped insulin prices, there’s too much to list!

Zionists are fascists. You will never be "good enough" for them. You are a tool, and once they have no need for you they will discard you.

There is no placating or working with them. There is no world where they exist and others are safe.

Ultimately, if you oppose/condemn the people protesting Mamdani, you are making 2 commitments:

1) you are condemning *every* pro-Palestine/antigenocide group as they were all present at the protest, and these groups have also helped formed the spine of ICE patrols, anti Trump/No Kings protests, etc
Today is a rare day where Twitter has more useful information than this website on a very important issue, so let's collate some of the ongoing discussions. 🧵

Here are the words straight from the mouth of a student organizer who went from interning for Mamdani to protesting him on the streets:

Mamdani and any other left wing politician in the current context is going to face *tremendous* pressure from the right.

If there is no countervailing pressure from the left the path of least resistance for him is to capitulate to the right.

I mean logically, why wouldn't a politician do that?
Every meaningful left wing movement that ever came in power, from Robespierre to FDR, was *responsive* to popular forces and pushed by the left wing to go further. If Mamdani is going to be the next great leader, an oppositional left will have to be necessary hostile. This isn’t kumbaya shit

this is an argument no liberal can actually deal with because they claim to believe that markets and regulation solve everything and they have no problem with a regulated alcohol industry despite that killing far more people every year than any illegal drug.

it's just puritanism the whole way down
The drug trade is a huge fucking problem so why not regulate it instead of banning it? It could be done, you just have to think of drug users as people

YouTube hasn't paid out music streaming earnings to Distrokid for almost two months with no communication, so my income has been cut in half just for fun. It's a startling reminder that the entire streaming ecosystem could just go away overnight because a tech company lets it. Buy albums if you can.

Every time the "why should we just forgive student loans?" question comes up, the answer will always be "Because you promised them jobs & careers that would pay them off and then destroyed the economy, job market, and careers they went to school for right as they graduated and we never recovered."
I feel like we don’t talk about millennials in particular, hitting our 40s - in earlier generations many of us would be reaching the peak of our careers, but because of disaster after disaster, locust after locust eating our industries, many of us are on our 3rd or 4th fresh start.

For those who aren't up to date on the 360 modding scene, this is a Big Deal. Believe it or not, until now, the 360 still never had a softmod and while some exploits in recent years had gotten most of the way, this is the real deal. You probably no longer need to solder your 360 to do Fun Stuff.
Grimdoomer has just released the first version of the "Peer Pressure" softmod for the Xbox 360, giving code execution at boot time, within 20 seconds, with no hardware modifications required, supporting the majority of console motherboard revisions!

My autistic toddler is largely nonverbal. She only has a handful of words, and it’s a challenge to get her to use them with intent. She’s getting over an ear infection and took her medicine very well this morning. I asked “who’s my good girl?” She enthusiastically replied “Me!” and I nearly cried.

I've seen a few negative reactions to my recent vintage mods using AI, and I get it. The tech world is changing rapidly and it's frightening, even for someone who has expected this. I've had existential dread since I first used Claude Code last year
