Another Utrecht Sketching Community meetup, this time celebrating Utrecht Heritage Day (on September 12th). In the morning we visited Stadsklooster Utrecht in the former Antoniuskerk. In the afternoon we visited Villa Jongerius.
Ink and watercolor sketches of both locations in my sketchbook across two pages. On the left page is a sketch of Villa Jongerius in landscape orientation. It's a very rectangular white building with red accents. On the right page is a sketch of Stadsklooster Utrecht, a former Catholic church, with a focus on the tower. In the beginning of August I joined the Utrecht Sketching Community meetup at Castellum Hoge Woerd (Netherlands). The building is a modern interpretation of a Roman fort. It was a lovely day with fellow urban sketchers. So nice to see all the different styles, subjects, and points of views.

The building has the shape of an old Roman fort, but has really straight lines and it's made from modern materials. All the different sketches laid out on a table for the "show & tell".

At the end of August I biked to Fort Voordorp with my new folding chair and support board and made a sketch of the fort, which is part of the New Dutch Waterline.

My first urban sketch. The gatehouse and former coach house at Rhijnauwen and Amelisweerd, just outside Utrecht. I finished up the line and wash painting at home.

Recently started experimenting with Line and Wash painting.

So happy with @vitest.dev Browser Mode being stable! Migrated legacy Jest component tests that used jsdom, tested implementation details, and mocked web components. Now: reliable user-facing tests with getBy* locators, no mocking, running in a real browser. Tests what users actually see and do 🎉
