I know there's a lot of people that get upset when a re-release of a retro game doesn't have borders filling the entire 16:9 screen, but it feels pointless if I wanna play the game in windowed mode

Sometimes I get this weird compulsion to 100% games in ways that were never meant to be 100%'d
Like filling out the high score board until I knock out all the default scores, or in a racing game setting a time on every track with every car

Something that really bothers me about remakes lately is that they're trying so hard to play off of your nostalgia for the original thing, but a lot of that nostalgia isn't rooted in the thing itself as much as where you were in life when you experienced it.

EOSD New classic impressions:
- spell card practice is in, I wanted this the most :)
- New OST is fine but the originals still feel more iconic to me
- Idk if its the hitboxes or a placebo but it feels easier to dodge having the game be HD?
- New Translation feels weird being so used to the original

I feel like despite being a remake hater as of late I can't reeeeally bring myself to go full hater mode on this one.
Like conceptually I'd rather they just not, but watched the direct mostly thinking "This Could've Been Worse"
