Kalshi and Polymarket bets on clinical trials criticized as 'ghastly'
Researchers warn betting on clinical trials could incentivize insider trading and interfere with drug development. But Kalshi and Polymarket say they provide valuable information to patients.

For those curious, it appears 10 is the age at which child the elder has decided they want to FA and they are about to FO. If I hear about cake prior to actual sustanance another time, the cake goes directly in the trash. SMH.

Interesting choice of Worcester. Wonder if any of the local cranks will be out to see this - given they never see bikes on the roads here, let alone in the bike lanes.

In all seriousness though, glad to see this coming to Worcester. More bikes = more better.

Oh my god!!!! Cars in the middle of the road?! How will traffic and parking possibly functions?! Providence has gone completely mad! /sarcasm.

But seriously, the pedestrian and bike infrastructure in Providence absolutely blows Worcester out of the water.

This is my home town.
I would have said this is unimmaginably stupid, but again, I grew up in Tallahassee so I am not surprised by the sheer idiocy of these commissioners.

Very stoked for this even to be coming right up! Always a fun day in Worcester! Be sure to register if you haven't already (or at least to come cheer on us lunitics turning ourselves inside out getting up George Street!).
Coming up at 7:35 we'll be talking with Dale Wickenheiser and Seth Popinchalk about the 2026 George Street Bike Challenge

Great turn out for the ribbon cutting!

Ribbon cutting for the new Brooks Dairy Farm conservation area, supported by GWLT, LAND Grant, and Community Preservation Act (CPA) funds! So grateful to have more green space protected in our city.

Packed meeting tonight for the Tatnick to Newton Sq Neighborhood meeting. Folks making arguments for and against rotary. Moe unsurprisingly seems quietly saying he'll see but probably opposed to any improvements. Or doing anything. Ever.

Curious who else is headed to the Tatnick/Newton Square neighborhood meeting tonight? Thinking about riding over given how nice it'll be. (Gif for laughs as Mr Bean is brilliant)

Not sure why I laughed so much from this headline, but I think it's the "It's just out for blood!" that got me.

So my current 3d print project is a this 3d printed heat insert press by gluFPV, along with the adaptor for a Worx MakerX soldering iron.

Should allow for some other projects I want to get to, while adding to my 3d printed tools.

Thx to WPL for printing :)

Just now, while working at my kitchen table:

CRASH!

3 car accident outside. 3rd car hit 2nd which pushed 2nd into 1st. 1st and 2nd are past the intersection at this point.

Don't tell me we don't need traffic calming or slower speed limits. We clearly do. Thankfully, no major injuries.

I've been saying for years this is what they should be doing on Newbury Street in Boston.
Retractable bollards with remote access for delivery and emergency services filter modes with absolute certainty.

They close streets to private cars for far less than the cost of human enforcement, demanding 24/7 compliance through solid, smart design.
June 26, 2026 at 2:57 PM
Oh! Thanks for reminding me. I'll be on remotely.

I like hanging up flags outside my house. It's fun for me to put up various ones for holidays or just because. We've had Rebel Alliance, Pride, Jolly Roger, the New England Flag, and more. I'm struggling to decide what to put up for July 4th given the current state of things.

Glad I have my rain barrels hooked back up. Hope we get some rain soon to fill them. Next up is a transfer pump for more pressure and a timer for use with sprinklers at optimal times.
