Penguin Random House has started adding Bluesky as an option of where readers get book recs when they send out their Reader's Lounge surveys.

We're slowly getting there 🙂‍↕️

I really hate hearing about former politicians being "private citizens now, leave them alone."

They are not former McDonald's employees being pestered about the price of fries. They had a real effect on the world that lingers long after they are gone.

What did people think he meant when he said Republicans just had to elect him this one time and then they would fix it so no one had to vote anymore? Like what other explanation was there?

I think it’s bad that the Republican Party has decided that people who disagree with Trump don’t have rights.

It was a mistake to put eugenicists in charge of the federal health system

We see their eugenics in action in their push to roll back vaccines & antidepressants

We see it in NIH leaders arguing there’s no need for pandemic preparedness—just tell people to be healthy & the strong will survive

I hate that gaming is becoming increasingly unaffordable.

You can blame much of that on AI gobbling up RAM and other resources, as well as tariffs, and now the Iran war, making everything more expensive.

I'm tied, boss.

Justin J. Pearson: “This new MAGA movement, it is an iteration of the Klan. It has mainstreamed racism, it has mainstreamed white supremacy, it has mainstreamed bigotry, homophobia, transphobia. It has mainstreamed all the worst of who we are as a country. This is a victory lap for white supremacy”

Let me get this straight.

Red states can have a governor unilaterally suspend primaries, and GOP legislators draw maps without voter consent.

But Virginia runs the most robust democratic process possible, a constitutional amendment via referendum, and the court throws it away?

The new Trump counterterrorism strategy document lists “left-wing extremists,” people with “radically pro-transgender” ideologies, and “anti-fascists” as top national security threats like ISIS. So if Trump is classing anti-fascists as terrorists, he is acknowledging his regime is fascist.. right ?

i love noticing the cultural shift behind which console is the most popular purely based on what people are playing in the background in the anime. i remember in 2000s psp was one of the more popular consoles to draw characters using. now its always legally distinct nintendo switch lol

So Texas, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina, and Tennessee can redraw districts without a referendum and that stands, but when Virginia lets voters decide directly at the ballot box, it gets overturned?

And the sad thing is the cult believes it.
