Yes, that's also true, and the recent inconsistency of which states can and can't redistrict, or whether states even need voters' consent to do so, is an alarming problem.

Oh, yes, I'd forgotten about that. In that case you very truly got your money's worth from it. I miss mine because it was my first, but I've also been so extremely happy with the Paperwhite ever since.

Yes, before the Civil Rights movement Democrats were the conservative and, yes, racist party. The Democratic Party is no longer conservative or racist.
Republicans, on the other hand, were more liberal than Democrats.
Tell me that parties don't change over time.

The Electoral College results in an indirect vote for president: the voters vote for electors who pledge to vote in the E.C. for a given candidate, though "unfaithful electors" do sometimes vote for someone else instead, and sometimes they get punished for doing so, but sometimes they don't.
