today in Keep Planning, new prose from returning contributor Eric T. Racher – i call it only "prose" because i'm truly not sure there's any more specific descriptor yet invented for the strange, dark, heady blend of literary forms to be found here. do not miss this one

Thanks to @jonathangibbs.bsky.social for this thoughtful response.
2026 Reading 49: The Coast of Everything by Guillermo Stitch. I took this 750pp novel – by another writer acquaintance; you can read his excellent Personal Anthology here: apersonalanthology.com/category/gui... – on a week-long cruise. I knew it needed attention. It needed two cruises, at least.

Extra cheering, somehow, to see a library copy. The book switches register and genre so brazenly that I think a reader is bound to like some parts better than others. I hope you find good things, and enjoy the journey.
Been intrigued by this since seeing @davidcollard.bsky.social mention it, picked it up from the library the other day and started this morning. Can tell I’m going to like it from the first page - this is a *great* opening… Hope the remaining 746 pages are as good as this! #NowReading

Finally finished The Coast of Everything and already excited to read it again. So beautifully layered and crafted so that there's a propulsive sweep through the whole thing, but also echoes and ghosts that criss cross and circle back on themselves as you read. #booksky

I love this review.
I read The Coast of Everything by @guillermostitch.bsky.social
TL;DR - One of the most original and engaging (and by far the longest) books I've read this year.
