the fun thing about working in small market news is I have hundreds of bylines like this and there's nothing I can do about it.
Richie Assaly, as modest as ever, nailing it in the Globe and Mail.
Danielle Smith blames immigrants for Alberta's economic woes, and polling suggests that most residents agree with her.

Now, the province wants to enact policies that will treat newcomers as second-class citizens.

Here's me, somehow, in the Globe & Mail:
Opinion: Alberta’s shameless attempt to scapegoat immigrants
Opponents of secession have been vocal, but where are the people standing up for newcomers to the province?

Calling the 200th Spiderman movie "Brand New Day" shows a level of disdain for the audience that I almost respect.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is officially the highest-grossing film ever in the U.S. 💰 🕷️

It surpassed ‘The Force Awakens’

It's interesting to see actual movement stemming from the prevailing ideological divide within a conservative political apparatus.

How many more right wing parties in Canada have this internal conflict between MAGA-esque culture warriors and business people that really hate taxes?
We all got to watch a little #bcpoli history being today made as several MLAs who left the BC Cons announced they are joining existing party CentreBC and Peter Milobar will be taking over from Mike Bernier as leader

Between this, the Globe and Mail piece, and his upcoming (second!!) book, I couldn't be more proud of my friend Jeremy.

He's a great reporter, managed to do this very difficult job on his own terms, always led with his principles, and we all benefit from his work.

Great Q&A but I am a little disappointed that the manager isn't also in character.

Q: A lot of people struggle to categorize Angine de Poitrine. How would you describe Vol. II?

A: BLEEEEAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGCHHHHHHHHHHHHCCCC

This is insane, because the story about this that gained traction (in my humble opinion) completely mischaracterizes that memo from senior CBC staff.

It never said 9/11 wasn't a terrorist attack, it said to attribute that statement to a source.

Ok but seriously if you're publishing stuff, we're aware of eachother/friendly and you want a way to organically give your work a bit of a boost message me.

On its own, it's not funny that Raygun is Australian, or bad at breakdancing, or that she was in the olympics for breakdancing.

But all of those things combined are definitely funny.

I personally believe that the developers at Bluesky should be working around the clock to get more of my (Eric Wickham) posts into everyone's feeds.

It's a good idea I think.
