Absolute pleasure to be able to paint these lovely ladies earlier this year for MCDM's Encounters

AD: Grace Cheung & the MCDM team
digital paitning of a grinning hag done in a realistic style. She's wearing a curved gnome like cap and licking hel lips while grinning and looking up while clasping her hands in a conspiratory manner. her back is covered in long green hair and reflective gold coins. The text at the bottoms shows the MCDM logo and reads: (c) 2026 MCDM Productions LLC, Charlie "Newt" Borovský @EyeoftheNewt digital painting of a blue ghost of an older noble lady swirling around like she's in the midst of a dance. She's wearing a tudor style headdres and a ruff around her neck while her bottom half dissapears into wisps. her eyes are glowing white. The text at the bottoms shows the MCDM logo and reads: (c) 2026 MCDM Productions LLC, Charlie "Newt" Borovský @EyeoftheNewt

Winter: My Secret
Christina Rosetti

“-Only, my secret’s mine, and I won’t tell.

Or after all, perhaps there’s none:
Suppose there is no secret after all,
But only just my fun.”

A detailed illustration with a heavy traditional feel. It shows my character Arno, dressed in his iconic leather fur lined jacket positioned as if casting a spell. Below his left arm is a a bright pink eye opening in succession, reminiscent of the lunar phases. On his shoulder is a draped blue skeleton copying his movements. It isn’t clear if the skeleton is mimicking him or if he is mimicking the skeleton. The atmosphere is regal, academic, the candle light provides an aura of a warm interior of a study. The candle rests on a wooden shelf with symbols of the moon, the sword and the wand. Above the shelf is an ornamental wooden frame and within it an obscured painting.

Art post for no particular reason 🖤

(I am close to reach 10k here and I still have no new art to show.
But having some reach here would make me a bit happier since I abandoned my twitter with 40k followers lol)

ELRIC, THE ETERNAL CHAMPION - 2026
a digital painting of ELRIC, Michael Moorcock's most famous character, and albino prince who pulls power from his runesword Stormbringer. here he swoops down into a morass of writhing chaotic life and flesh. his cape billows behind him and a lilac sheen bounces off his gothic armour. the armour is (by fantasy standards) adorned with decorations evoking dragons. the lining of his cape is blood red.

We began to explore the Draugr 2.0, which moved into some crazy territory with a Draugr Queen (Playing with ideas of a fallen Valkerie) But ultimately we pushed onto a miniboss: The Hateful. Ultimately we sought to make a new enemy variety over increasing the number of Draugr Variations.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

If some lady handed me a free sword I'd still take it though.

allow me to surf on odyssey hype to repost an old piece from 2013

Penelope, Queen of Ithaca - 30x40cm ink on claybord
a black and white scratchboard illustration depicting Penelope, queen of Ithaca waiting for Odysseus. She is standing at the edge of a small stone platform, the sea right underneath, like by a ray of light, wrapped in black robes. Behind her, stairs climb back up the hill behind tall pine trees. In the distance, a square palace sits on the top of the hill, with light coming from the windows.
