Impressive example of debris flow!!!
Have seen several versions of this video floating around. Can't find an original source yet, but if this is legit umm... going to need some sedimentologists in the chat 🧪⚒️

A little late to the party, but congratulations to my former postdoc K. Brückel (now at the University of Bonn) for her very nice paper on diffusion chronometry in olivine crystals from the 2018-2020 Fani Maoré submarine eruption 🌋⚒️🧪 – agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/...
Integrating Olivine Diffusion Chronometry With Monitoring Data to Decipher the Magma Dynamics at the Submarine Fani Maoré Volcano

A new video emerged which seems to show a surface rupture in Yatsushiro, Japan following the M6.8 earthquake in July! Exact location of the video would be 32°30'04.0"N 130°38'29.9"E.

Absolutely wild. Only the second ever video of a surface rupture forming after the 2025 Myanmar video! ⚒️🧪 #geology

Beautifull video of a lava flow from Etna by @borisetneo.bsky.social 🌋⚒️
#Etna, 13 August 2026.

Lava is some strange stuff. When advancing after having traveled a few kilometers, it will rather crumble forward, but if you record it in timelapse you do see a kind of flowage. All except the first few seconds of this video are 10-20 times normal speed.

The wealthiest man in human history—who clearly performed several Nazi salutes on Inauguration Day 2025—is directly responsible for the deaths of up to 14 million people, including 4.5 million children, by 2030.

He's not "quirky" or "weird" or "awkward".

He's a fucking monster.
Not to be some wild-eyed innocent, but I think it should be slightly bigger news that The Lancet have crunched the numbers and found that Musk's USAID cuts will kill 14 million people. And that's just by 2030.

That's 9,600 people a day, every day, until the next world cup rolls around.

🌋 3ième phase de l'éruption au Piton de la Fournaise toujours en cours
✅ Nouveau site éruptif: le plus actif avec des fontaines de lave
✅ Trémor stable
