When I first started writing the band fic, the idea was to make it as close to canon as possible while adding in both the band, and polytheives. To that end, I was gonna just roll with the typical timeline, but at this point I'm considering just tossing it out and doing my own thing.

I think the thing that makes the discourse so volatile is because you have two different sides colliding. You have queer people desperate for representation, and you have others who are too, just in a different way.
