This is a national scandal. It is so obvious that the only aim is to save build costs for developers. And deprive us of the benefits of shade and cheaper power generation. It’s not even a lack of vision it’s inimical dislike of progress and reduction in quick profits.
Ever climbed into a car that's been baking in the sun and wondered why our biggest car parks don't have roofs?

The Government was considering exactly that. It has now quietly parked the idea.

Here's why it matters.
As Britain bakes, ministers quietly park plans for solar carports
Ministers have quietly shelved plans that could have transformed Britain's biggest car parks into shaded power stations

@mrjamesob.bsky.social really disappointed with your skewed take on Polankski retweeting a comment about police kicking the knifeman. Confused why no LBC coverage mentions that the assailant in question tried to kill a Muslim man on the same day and had just been released from a mental institution.

Particularly beautiful vibe in London tonight. Partly the clement weather, partly all the people wearing their marathon medals while taking in the sights, partly the queues waiting to be photographed with a red phone box outside Parliament, but mostly just London being a uniquely brilliant city…

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.

This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.

Main rate of UK Corporation Tax cut from 52% in 1983 to 19% in 2017-23, now 25%.

They told us cuts would increase investment and wages.

For the last 30 yrs UK has been at or near the bottom of the OECD league for investment.

Real average wage unchanged since 2008. Capital and execs benefited.

Then he bought up hundred of millions of pounds of farmland to avoid tax, then cried when it was made taxable.
