I felt sure A Useful Ghost - a Thai love story about vacuum cleaners - was a shoo-in for the most unusual film of the year. Until I saw 'Hen', a drama about a chicken who escapes from a factory-farm and ends up embroiled in a deadly people-smuggling scam.
