Just me, desperately trying to keep a lid on the cynical panic I've been in since the After Days began (circa 2016). Name's Emily. Nice to meet you

Trump Ads Set to Dominate Airwaves With Taxpayer Dollars Behind Them
In a bold move to strengthen his campaign efforts ahead of the upcoming midterm elections, President Donald Trump is gearing up to release a significant number of taxpayer-funded advertisements aimed at swaying voters. This strategy comes as rising concerns grip Republican candidates about their electoral prospects. CNN reported that Trump perceives a “messaging problem” among Republican candidates, leading him to initiate a two-pronged strategy.

The same school that canceled my class on media, race and international affairs.

When a rapist sticks up for other rapists it's called a professional courtesy.
Unfortunately, as expected...

Defending the men in the Cornell gang rape case. He “feels bad” for them and they won't get a “fair shake.”

If you think that you should not say bad things about power people, you are not a journalist. You are a corporate public relations agent.

Broken promises and $9 gas.

Don't byte the hand that feeds you
McDonald's is now reportedly pressuring franchisees to use AI to price food.

Its CEO raked in $20.6M last year, over 1,000x the median McDonald's worker pay of $19,020.

And they remain one of the largest employers of Medicaid and SNAP recipients.

I'm not lovin' it.

Her assault was their privilege
If that woman at Cornell had been raped by 7 black, Hispanic, transgender, or Muslim men, I'm positive those 7 men and the other 50 who knew but said nothing would have been punished far worse than just writing essays, if they survived the initial arrests, that is.

🚨In September 2026, the Va. Dept. of Elections reports that 22,810 Virginians registered to vote. The deadline to register is 10/23 in order to cast a regular, normal ballot. Registration after that date will result in casting a “provisional“ ballot.

Early “in-person” voting ends on 10/31.

all trump had to do is sit back and relax and pretend like the recovery he inherited from biden was all his doing. instead he did tariffs and war and like reagan and bush before him, he fucked over the economy.

it is the republican way.

I'm an actor and have had the absolute honor (one of the biggest of my career) of performing on the main stage of The Kennedy Center. I feel physically ill that a beacon of art and culture has been cast into the shadows by a talentless degenerate, devoid of appreciation for art, for anything

In response to the mad, boorish, wanna-be king, repeated, public displays of affection for the Kennedy Center have erupted.

Trump’s War with Iran has given Iran all the power they need to hold the world economy hostage. They’ve no need to send someone to hijack a random flight. The ONLY people who benefit from this are Trump, Bibi, and the NeoCons who love endless wars.

I’m not buying what they’re selling.

They spend but we pay
Billionaire political spending was about $16 million in 2008. In 2026, it could reach $2–3 billion. Whatever your politics, that’s a staggering shift in who has the financial power to shape American elections.
