Proud St. Louisan. Former Colorado, New Hampshire resident. College Chef. Blues, Cardinals. Bird watcher. Well-traveled.
I've come to a decision, in light of my earlier post, that I will be using Bluesky as my own personal head-clearing space (What is a blue sky for, after all?)
All political posts/accounts will be blocked. Sorry.
See me @f1chef1 on Twitter for that shit.

Hello followers- I'm back after a short break to determine my social media future.
Was hoping to keep one site for political views, and another for mind-clearing things like nature & sports.
We'll see how it all shakes out.

Sorry folks, but Bluesky just doesn't do it for me.
I came here looking for something different from the Bird app, but frankly it's not.
I'll be back from time to time, but don't expect anything from this account.

I'm hearing "political violence has no place in America" from people who were more than OK with what happened on Jan 6, 2021.

One of my best friends lives in SoCal. He is of Mexican descent. He has an "English name", his family has been "American" for generations. I fear for him.

Trying to get somebody to take over lawn care duties at my house, hoping to get this wrapped up by this afternoon. Reached out to 4 companies- lukewarm responses.
In true Gen X style, fuck it, I'll do it myself.

We deserve better than this Missouri. Hawley does not work for us he only pretends to. He has secured $0 of congressional funding for MO whereas his predecessor Roy Blunt secured $350 million in his final year in office alone.
MO hasn’t received one earmarked dollar since 2022 when Blunt retired

No tax on tips? Cool. Now make companies pay a living wage so rent doesn’t hinge on someone’s mood after a burger.
