My brave little boy is doing much better today. He's playful and eating, though still nauseous. Clinically, he did very well with blood work so hopefully he'll be coming home tomorrow.

So! Update on shed kitten:
He's doing well. The vet was rather optimistic, like I said, and he's taking to it all pretty well. He was active and bright during the exam, and hopefully with a good night of fluids, nutrition and meds, he can get over the hump and become my most expensive cat EVER

Shed kitten has distemper, but the vet is optimistic we got it early. He's still bright, alert and only a little dehydrated. Hopefully just one overnight at the vet and he'll be home.

I really hate to say it because there are good people on that team. Really, really likeable dudes who didn't deserve to be in the middle of this. Before the bribe occurred, this bad loss could have been had with dignity.

This morning I saw Youngstown referred to as Gabagooltown and it reminded me of when my wife visited for the first time.
We were driving around and she asks "Hey, why is there an italian american club on every street?"
And then I had to explain that we have a gangland assassination named after us.
