Wage gaps make it difficult–if not impossible–for families to provide safe, healthy environments and futures for their children. We must achieve #equalpay across the United States and its territories for every family. ❤️

Unequal pay and lost wages affect Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders ability to retire and their family’s future. To make matters worse, these women lack access to jobs with paid family or even sick time. It’s time to protect our workforce with #equalpay and #timetocare.

It is not enough to talk about how women in Hawaii and the Pacific Islands are being paid 67 cents to the dollar for the same work and with the same qualifications as white males, we need action to end wage discrimination. #EqualPay

Today, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women have finally reached the earnings of white non-Hispanic males from last year. No, 67 cents to the dollar us unacceptable. This is just a small example of the inequality women of the NHPI ancestry face in the workplace💔 #EqualPay

The 67¢ earned by NHPI women for every $1 earned by white, non-Hispanic men reveals a painful inequality. This income disparity compounds over time, impacting the ability to support families and create a financial safety net for unforeseen challenges. #EqualPay

#BackToSchool can also mean getting the call: your child is sick. Too many caregivers fear answering because missing work to care for a child can mean losing pay--or even a job.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Everyone deserves access to a paid sick and safe time policy.

Ten years after a state-sponsored feasibility study showed the way forward, Pennsylvanians are still waiting for paid family and medical leave. Family Values @ Work’s Marianne Bellesorte asks: What’s the hold up?

NEW report: Nationwide, more than 29 million employees have no paid holidays off. US law provides no paid holidays, no paid family leave—no paid time off. But there are proposals in Congress to change that. Read more at PaidLeaveForAll.org.

You shouldn't have to need paid time to care for yourself or loved ones to support policies that allow everyone doing the same -- just sayin' 😕

Care is respect for human dignity. Everyone should be able to take the time they need to heal, seek care, and support a loved one without fear of losing their job or income.

We applaud New Jersey improving paid leave access for those with the greatest need but often excluded -- women, people of color, low-wage workers, part-time workers, and those working for small businesses.

More N.J. workers are now eligible for family leave job protections
The change expands the number of companies that must comply with the New Jersey Family Leave Act and decreases the amount of time it takes for an employee to become eligible for job protections.

The U.S. is sadly out of the World Cup, but we can still score for families in America. States across our network have proven that paid leave for all is both affordable and essential to America's success.
