Bush Stone Curlews are very inquisitive birds. They love playing around, and are extremely protective of their environment especially protecting my bike at work.

When I read Carl Sagan's book Contact (yes, I admit after I saw the movie), I realised what a genius he was in proposing the impossible using basic mathematics. PI suddenly became as mystical as the Pyramids.

I found these two a couple of meters apart, the juvenile was in a sheltered spot down low, the more mature one was out in the open being blown around in the wind.
