Riding madly off in all directions.
Not sure why this is so hard, in an editorial that calls for more education, to point out that various types of lithium batteries have markedly different fire risk. Can we start citing the battery chemistry pls. (I realize most bikes and scooters use NMC and LCO which are the types most prone)..

I've walked all of Yonge St too, but from west to east. ;)
It’s true. The first chapter of my book stroll is a walk up the entire length of Yonge. Lake to top, unlike Alex’s thread which is top to bottom. You see different things when you walk the same place but the other way.
Above-ground subway, and the towers of Davisville. @shawnmicallef.bsky.social territory.

Sharing a new @spacingradio.bsky.social episode like our 95th (!) below is one of my favourite things in the world.

But I have something kind of serious to say, and I hope you’ll bear with me and maybe spread it around.

This used to take forever in Fortran
AI was just used to design 16 new viruses.

While some laud this as progress, it can also be a massive biosecurity risk.

In the wrong hands, this could have catastrophic consequences.

Saying airports are not subsidised. Well maybe not now. Keller doesn't think government was involved in developing airports?
Opinion: Is high-speed rail the best way to spend $90-billion?
If we want to deliver the greatest benefits to the greatest number of people, wouldn’t urban public transit be a better place to invest $90-billion?

Perhaps because these are both fundamentally e-commerce outfits, they truly have no clue about animating a retail streetscape

I will forever disagree that a politician blocking someone on X is a Charter violation, so I can't agree that their being on it is one either. But, what it is, is morally repugnant, and I'm sad that we don't live in a society that punishes politicians for being morally repugnant.

As for those who say the scale is not the same: Canada's population is highly concentrated. 20 million people live in the Quebec City-Windsor corridor, equivalent to Morocco's Atlantic coast mainline.
