Research shows that young people who vape are more likely to start smoking cigarettes. The tobacco industry continue to target young people through various marketing strategies (e.g. brightly coloured e-cigarette packaging).

We must continue advocating for tobacco end game.

In Ireland, cigarette butts accounts for approximately 50% of litter waste and are harmful to ecosystems, marine and wildlife. Another reason to consider quitting smoking this #worldenvironmentday!

The Health and Safety authority reported that the number of people in Ireland diagnosed with TB is relatively low (approximately over 400 cases annually). Stopping smoking, however, can significantly reduce chances of infection and improve overall lung health.

We’re running an online survey to understand public attitudes towards using financial incentives (e.g. vouchers) as part of cessation support. We’d really value your perspective.
